Finch compatibility

I have a question regarding the ability of different finches to live together. I did a quick forum search, and didn't see it as a topic, so forgive me if it's been discussed to death already.
I've been told that Society Finches can live with Zebras, but that Orange Weaver Finches can't live with either of those two, is this correct, and if so, an explanation of why please? thanks, Ken/Beep

Ken,

Look for the link, Finch Information Center to the left. Look in the menu for, Species, where you will find a compatabilty chart. If you then click on some of the photos you will be taken to a more detailed info page for each species.

I know first hand that Societies and Zebras will get along, in fact they will breed if you allow it. Societies will get along with most all other species, they are very social/passive birds. Some species may find the Zebras to be pushy/annoying, so you wouldn't want to mix them with the more timid species. The Orange Weavers are considered "aggressive", so you have to use caution when mixing them with other finches.

Thanks Tammie, it figures that they don't have any info on the Weavers, the one that I really need to know about because she's alone right now. I'll try some more web surfing.

Thanks Tammie. As a matter of fact, I found that first article just moments after I replied earlier. Thanks for the second one.
What really surprises me is that they're sold in stores. They're obviously not a good bird for someone unknowing of their needs. The stores shouldn't even carry them for that matter. Now I feel even sorrier for my one legged little girl. I'll be getting her some live food first thing tomorrow.
While I'm at it, can you guess what I named my little one legged wonder? Eileen ( I lean) heehee
