need some owl help

hi all, i have two (i believe hens) owl finches. have had them in the same aviary since March this year. For the past 3-4 weeks, one of them has become very aggressive towards the other. They still sleep together in the nest, but during the day one chases the other, and sometimes they chase each other. It has gotten progressively worse and I now have them seperated. Also in the aviary are a pair of strawberries, a pair of mannikins, a pair of orange cheeks. all are male/female, this is the only pair that I think are both hens. I cannot tell them apart! I now have the aggressor in a cage by herself, she seems very upset to be parted from the other birds. Both owls call to each other...kind of a laugh-type series of beeps, followed by a long sea gull like screech. They have been doing that since I got them...but never the aggression.
anyone have any suggesstions or ideas?
the aviary is 8 feet long by 5 feet high, filled iwth lots of food/water and natural branches, and nests (multiple)
any help is much appreciated Thanks!!!
