Cutie pies!! I really applaud you for hand feeding. I can't picture it being an easy task at all

They are fairly easy to feed out once past that tiny first 3 or 4 day stage.

Below is a picture of handfed javas I feed out after the breeder sold the parents to me and discovered upon pulling the parents that they had young in the box. He gave me the young, very easy to feed, I have been hand feeding birds off and on for over 30 yrs, the newer smoother formulas like Roudybush makes it very easy to do.

Thanks Cindy, that actually doesn't look too hard. The only birds I have ever hand fed were rescue doves from the garden and they were quite a mission to feed. They take food completely differently to a finch.

Looking at your pic above and seeing how the finches beg and then feed from a syringe actually gives me some hope that I can do it someday if need be

I dont know if you saw any of my posts, and I'm pretty sure MiaCarter Nailed, it, but was wondering what you thought. My male looks like a NG, and my female is a CFW. They currently have 4 fledges, 2 of which are gray (kind of a "ruddy" or "messy" gray, and the white, on them isn't pure white) and the other 2 are brown. I thought of this b/c they almost look to be the coloring of your first set of photos, so I'm asking are those in your first photos actualy WHITE just the lighting isn't great, or are they kind of an off white brownish color? Just wondering, what you think mine are, althougth like I said Mia seems to think my father bird was split to fawn and I'm getting fawn's.... bought him from a pet store so no way of knowing the parentage. Thanks Cindy, and they are beautiful!!! Do you keep them tame when you hand feed? I know some people do it just to keep them alive, and then put them back into "bird world" so they don't stay that way. I would love a tame finch!!!! I'm hoping to get one (not my fledges, as they are learning quickly to fly away from me from their parents!) Congrats, and thanks for sharing these lovely photos!
