Bengalese (society) Self? Euro? Difference?

I recently got some Bengalese [societies] for the first time.
They are 2 black/grey, a chestnut and a creamino that were sold as "Euro".

I have seen these called 'self' as well as Euro.
My question is, what is the difference? Are these basically one and the same?

I have read that Euros are larger but have no experience in assessing size differences and have not found comparison photos of these side by side. Are the size differences on the scale of English budgies vs pet store parakeets?

The black/greys are now nesting so that is exciting.

Now that I have these I can begin to appreciate why so many people find them so charming.

'selfs' , i would consider as simply being what it sounds like, a self/solid coloured bird without any piedness

'euro' societies i think mainly refers to new colour mutations such as Black Browns, Black Greys, Red Browns etc which appeared first in europe and were imported/exported to US. Creamino is also 1 of these new mutations.

'size difference' can vary greatly between what we call pet shop quality and larger show quality birds so here in europe we get large variations between the size of birds, it's the same with budgies over here also. Generally you'll find most of these new mutations of birds which are imported/exported to US would have been sourced from studs of show quality european birds which would explain why 'euro' can mean both a new colour mutation and/or? larger in size.

Mine certainly fit the phenotype description of Euros.

I have insufficient experience to say if they are any larger than the usual pied societies I've seen. Although to tell you the truth I had never paid much attention to societies let alone their size until I saw the black greys. If these are bigger they are not bigger the way English budgies are instantly recognizable as huge.

The black grey pair now has 3 eggs and she's not sitting tight yet. I expect more of the same but who knows what genes are lurking in the background. Many of this species are bred indiscriminately so there could be surprises.

There are certainly enough color options.
It was the solid colored body with the white edged scalloped fronts that caught my attention. Those and the creamino.
Unless there are odd ball recessives in both parents I should be getting a few more black greys within a couple of weeks. Both parents are closed banded which makes me think [hope?] they were not randomly bred if someone went to that trouble. The seller thought the worst case might be some creamino in them but he doubted that.
