Zebra & Green Singer?
I have a pair of Zebra Finches (non breeding) and would like to introduce a male Green Singer to the cage. Wondering if the Green Singer will be ok without a mate and will he do ok with Zebras?

Both Zebra finches and Green Singers, tend to be aggressive and territorial . Unless you have a very large flight, I would hesitate to house these two species together, most especially when the two Zebras are already the only residents of your cage.
Male Green Singers, will become quite territorial and aggressive especially during breeding season. Zebras, tend to be aggressive and territorial all the time, and so....
As someone who has had both species, I would give you this little piece of advice.
If you really want a Green Singers, I would get a pair, and house them seperately from the Zebras.

I'm not a pro (i don't know about singers) but do some research as I've read, and seen that a male is actually better off in a cage alone (i can't stand the thought of this) but I guess, it's all right and they actually prefer it. But our experts will deffinitely chime in, as I could be COMPLETELY wrong!
As for the zebras, I agree with Elana, introducing anyone (especially a different species) will not sit well with your pair. They are content, and where they live is THIER cage, enter another bird, and they may gang up on him, or... there's a million outcomes honestly, but In my opinion I would avoid it all together (if you are going to add anyone to the zebra cage, I recommend getting a different cage all together (larger of course) and putting them all in together so there is no "this is our cage" it's a new cage to all of them and they may accept each other better, but again this is only if you add zebra to zebras, not 100% sure on the Singers. Good luck!

I agree with Inlovesorange, it's best to keep the green singer in his own cage. Male Carduelinae finches are very territorial.

Even in a larger cage, I still would not really recommend it.
