Babs

You finally found them!! They're beautiful- congrats! I started with two as well, and then I thought "this cage is too big for just two." Then became two pairs, and two separate cages for breeding. and so on... :)

Debbie, the woman said the female was PB, does it look more like lilac to you? Or is the purple usually this light in the females?

PB is a lighter tint in hens then in males so she is a PB. LB would be a barely visible pink color on a hen.
Were one of their parents Blue and that's how you know they are split to Blue?

Okay this is where I am learning. I though split to blue meant they have Green back feathers and blue neck with blue tail feathers. Both birds have a lot of blue in them.
After work today, Im going to get more photos for ya. :) hahah so much to learn! Such fun!

PS If these are both common GBs, any chance of getting a blue down the road?

There is no visual way to tell split to Blue. Your birds are a normal Green body gouldian color.
Both of the parents must be split to Blue in order to get a Blue chick.

Babs

G'morning .
Happy to hear that the new kids on the block are doing well :-D. You must be over the moon \:D/ \:D/ \:D/

Looking forward to more pictures of these two pretties later today.

It's quite alright to spend time with them, and close to their flight. They are sweet natured, curious little guys. I have found that if you sit close, they will approach, to check you out in no time.

I AM over the moon! I keep running out of my office to sneak in brief looks at them! :D

They are chasing each other back and forth and seem to be playing (does that make sense?)

Female is making most of the vocalizations. Is that a positive thing?
