Male Cordon Bleu with female Gouldian add Female Cordon ?

Post by anne22 » Tue Oct 20, 2015 9:29 pm

I have a Male Cordon Bleu that has been living happily with a with female Gouldian finch for the past couple of years now. Wondering if I tried to add a Female Cordon Bleu in with them if that might work or cause trouble?

Would they be the only three in the cage/flight? Trios often don't work well, as one of the group is odd man out and may be picked on by the others. It might be better to also get a mate for the Gouldian, then each of them can have a new partner.
