Double Bars

Picking up my first pair of double bars(owls) on saturday from a local breeder. $25 for the pair so hopefully they will settle in to there new home and start making babies by the end of the year.

Wow 25 dollars for a pair, there at least 100 to 125 per pair around here if you can find them.They are on my list as soon as I find them and have the money at the same time thats usualy my problem. good luck with yours :)

They are $50 for unsex and $75 sexed each not a pair here And not easy to find. :?

Well they are natives here so i think we have a bit of a bigger supply they you guys in america. Thats why we get good prices on them.

how nice it would be if finches could again be imported & exported from here. there are so many foreign species in australia that need fresh blood introduced to keep them healthy.

Here's the two i picked up today. He said he is pretty sure they are male and female and so far only one is making much noise since i have had them home.

They will be living in a fairly large cage in the lounge room for a month or so till they go to the shed into a cabinet breeding setup(hopefully i have built it by then).

I've always wanted a pair of Owls. My experience is that they're very difficult to find. I did talk to a lady though that told me where I can get a pair. As soon as my flight is finished they will be my first new purchase :D I'm excited. I'm sure that they're nowhere near the $25 price.... :evil:
I don't have any finches right now but I used to, I'll try to provide my knowledge around the forum
