Hi
The attached photo are of a pair of Painted finches.
Can't find them in your species profiles.
Wondered if you call them by another name in other countries.
We call Owl finches Double Bars and we call Shaft tails Blackhearts.
These are the names the Avicultural Society use here in Perth Western Australia

We also call them Painted finches in the U.S. Common names are often confusing, what we call Society finch is referred to as Bengalese in Australia and many other parts of the world. It would be a lot easier if we all used the same terms, but it is probably too late for that.

We don't have all the species at the Finch Information Center, but here is a link to some articles on them, if that is what you are looking for. The first page is quite short, but there are two links to other articles which give much information on this species.

We don't see them around here at all, but I must say..... they are gorgeous!!!

Apparently they go by several different names:

Emblema pictum
Emblema picta
Painted Finch
Painteds
Mountain Finch
Painted Firetails

There are all sorts of information sites about them on Google.
