Need Zebra I.D.

I picked up this group of five Zebras who were being given away. They are going to a friend of mine, who doesn't know anything about Zebra mutations either (I am clueless!), so I thought I'd post a few photos here to see if any of the members can tell me what they are. I had assumed they were normal Grey, since they were being given away, but they are much lighter than I think a normal Grey would be. Can anyone tell me what they might be? There are three males and two hens, and all are basically alike. No idea if they are related, the person I picked them up from didn't know anything about them.

Sally they look like Lightbacks to me. The girls are tough... they COULD Be fawns... That's what I would go with, fawn boys don't look like that though, so I'd say for the boys deffinitely lightbacks. However I will let our resident EXPERT chime in... Cindy :D

Going based on what I see... the hen with the fawn back her tail looks more of a dark brown than black...likely a Fawn

Wow, so they are not just plain Zebras. Actually, I didn't make it clear that the photos (other than the group photo) are of just two birds, one of the hens and one of the males. I thought they looked the same (to my untrained eye). Plus trying to take photos by myself with one hand on a struggling bird and the other hand on my cell phone was a problem in itself.

Perhaps when I take the birds to my friend on Saturday, we can get some better photos. I may even take a show cage along (or maybe better one of those small travel cages I use at marts).

Thanks cindy this is a great help!!

This was a sad case. A wife left her husband and kids, and he had no knowledge about these birds at all, just wanted them gone. He was giving them away, and when my friend saw the post on craigslist and saw it was in my area, she asked me to pick them up. We all know what often happens to free finches (snake food). She did give him some money for them, so hopefully she will be able to rehome these little guys and get her money back. Since they aren't normal Grays, they might be easier to rehome.

I have them in my dining room now, and I do have to admit that they are just the cutest little things! Meep-meep!

Terri and I and another member with vet medical training work together on some of the groups to help other members with ill birds and issues. I have gotten to know Terri well over the last few years...really nice lady and very knowledgeable.

Nope, I will be quite happy to take them to my friend. The last thing I need is more birds!
