New Society Male

I got a new society finch yesterday.

He sang quite a bit yesterday - separate quarantine cage but near other birds.

Today tho no singing, tho very active.

But he is almost constantly chirping, yet it sounds like a Rusty Hinge.
I never heard that sound from my other male, nor females.
I've only had the society finches for about 6 months.

Could he have air-sac mites?
Or is that a common chirp for younger birds maybe?

The name brand pet store I got him from has sold me a couple of very sick animals before but unfortunately they are the only ones in my area that sell birds.

He is a crested fawn and white male.

Or maybe like a low whistle sound.

But I can't find anything online that says this sound is normal?

All societies have distinct voices, and males tend to sound very hoarse in their chirps.
