Mystery Finch/Bird ID

Post by adamharbeck » Mon Sep 01, 2008 9:33 am

Hi All,

I stumbled across this video on youtube. This birds song is amazing. Does anybody know what species it is? It looks kind of like a woodswallow shape. Any Ideas?

Definitely a mix of something I think. The plumage reminds me of my Javas and I wouldn't be surprised if there was some Java in it (they are horny little buggers, and will give anything a good seeing to...oh how how I wish for my younger years)

I dunno, the Javas' song is nothing like that.
I was thinking it might be some central Asian or European species. If only I could read Arabic :(

I did two translations on the internet and it was of no help. The title just says "Bird Song (or Singing)" and the description made no sense to me at all (though it does contain the word "bird" and/or "flew"- I think the other parts were a name) "Pau Fahad flew [aalkndrY]" and "Bo bird Fahd Al-Kandari".

It sure has a pretty song though - and my birds sang up a storm when they heard it lol!
