Nuthatches
Hello fellow bird lovers,
Early this morning, I noticed a couple of tiny Nuthatches in my yard. Regretably , I didn't have my phone handy to snap a picture, and couldn't tear myself away to go get it.
I stood there and watched these adorable little beauties, as they flitted around , investigated all the nooks and crannies in my poplar tree, and had a little splash in a water bowl. They are amazing tiny birdlings, just as comfortable upside down, as they are right side up. They are also amazingly fast and agile, compared to my clumsy flock of Sparrows .

Amazingly enough, I saw more Nuthatches on my morning dog walk (or the original two followed me, lol).
This time, I managed to snap a couple of pictures.

I love nuthatches
. I have a few feeders, for the wild birds, I keep out all year long. Every now and then a nuthatch appears.

We also have the red breasted nuthatch also the white breasted. It's amazing just how close they will come to us just to get a little suet.

Nice job getting a shot of them. They are fast little ones. Im thinking of setting up a birdfeeder right outside my office window this year to watch the activity while I work. Im only hesitate because the starlings usually take birdfeeders over, then empty them quickly.

These guys, are amazingly cute, I just love the way they go up and down the trees, peeking and poking into every tiny hole and cavity, so nosey and curious about everything.
We don't have the white breast ones over here, just these guys.

Babs
Not sure.
They mainly seem to come over to avail themselves of the water bowl.
I wouldn't mind taking them with me when I move
