Has anyone purchased finches from this breeder.
Finchzone Modesto CA

His online web site has quite a few types of finches that are not otherwise available in my area.
Prices seem really good too.

I only know zebras and society a little.

He has European goldfinches, cordon bleu, gouldians, etc.

I have a 64-21-35 cage with 4 society

And I couldn't resist a great deal on a 63-19-34 which I ordered today.

Was thinking one cage with peaceful birds and one cage with pushy birds.
1 for society and 1 for zebras.
But if he is a good breeder I might like to try the birds mentioned above.

I live in a quiet apartment complex
Which birds would be the quietest?

I believe they are an importer. If so, then some of their birds might be older or not great shape (because of going through the import and lengthy quarantine process). The best thing to do (if you live within driving distance) might be to go there in person and check out each bird before you pay. Good luck.

isobea - thank you, that's very helpful to know.
I wondered how he could have such a large variety of different birds.

I am totally new to breeders.
What is the import process for breeders?
Does customs require vet checks for diseases before clearing birds?
