I just bought two society finches. I believe they are both male. I was reading on the web that Society Finches are extremely loud and louder than other finches. I looked on Finchstuff.com
Is this true? Mine don't seem to be loud. I believe they are quieter than parakeets. Are they typically louder than other types of finches?
What do you think?

Not loud at all in my experience. Much, much quieter than parakeets and they don't jabber non-stop like zebras.

Yeah, that is what I thought. I had 2 parakeets a long time ago and they were loud. Beautiful but loud. They sqwauked a lot. I could here them downstairs with the door closed.
I couldn't compare my 2 Society Finches to any other type of Finch, because this is the first time that I have owned finches.
Would you say that Parakeets were louder than Canaries?
I am happy with my 2 Society Finches. They are adorable and I like the sound of their chirps.
