Yesterday I added a pair of long tail finch with my existing Gouldians . The female gouldian is very harsh and attacking the long tail when they try to sit next to them .the female long tail seems lethargic this morning but still eating.
The male is ok with their presence .Shall I separate them immediately ?

I dont know what species you introduced (pics?) but long tailed finches can be agressive. Gouldians are non agressive. I would remove your long tail pair as soon as you can.

I would keep your shaft tails separate from the gouldians. One of the things you may want to consider is it was the gouldians territory first, introducing another species or even a pair of the same species can cause territorial disputes.

Stress on a bird from being picked on or chased can change the gut ph and yeasts can form...Instead of letting them work it out place the shaft tails in their own cage... if the shaft tail are new to your home it is highly recommended to quarantine all new birds away from your existing flock.

Thanks Bob and Bird Brain , but my female Gouldian is behaving very strangely . She only somehow tolerates the male Gouldian but hitting badly the shaft tail finch pair .it has been only 1 day and the female shaft tail seems to be very dull . Her feathers are puffed up . She was very active and beautiful yesterday . Is it possible to save her . If I separate the. Shaft tail in a separate cage. Can she recover?

Separate the shaft tail from the gouldians, supply the shaft tail with nourishing foods and quiet.

FYI, shaft tails in the wild steal gouldian nests so I don't think that would make for a good combination.
