Gouldian & shaft tail

Hello,
Can Gouldian finch & shaft tail co exist . Also would like to know if they can breed .if yes Will the offspring survive .

Males, females, pairs? If the cage (or aviary) is big enough, they'll be ok. You mean inter-breed? Not sure they can.

Hi Athens
I have about 20 of each species in a mixed aviary and they have never interacted with each other at all except for maybe territorial behavior around an active nest. The size of your space is a factor but I wouldn't be to concerned about it unless you actually see some courtship or mating going on.

Shaft tails can be territorial over nest, perches and may be to much for gouldians. it all depends on the size of your enclosure. what are the measurements?

Size of cage is everything. Keep in mind, in nature the shaft tails compete with gouldians for nests and will take over if they can.
