Anyone else keep these? I have wanted them for years and finally got them.
Turns out, now, that the timor I bought down south of Ireland was not 100% timor despite looking and sounding just like one. These new ones are truely miniscule. I love it!
I'll have to get comparison pictures.

I don't know much about Timor Zebras, but we do have a few members who have them. I wanted to welcome you to the forum! There's lots of good reading at
www.finchinfo.com, where you will find many articles on finch care. If you put your general location in your profile, it makes it easier for members to direct you to where to get supplies, etc.

I've had them for years and much prefer them to the domesticated Australian Zebras.

w.l. - is their personality different, too? I've never owned zebras...

They are much livelier and also have a more rapid song.
Have been compared to waxbills, which I find kind of right.
Try and get some to judge for yourself!
Someone should really look up if they are still available in the US, the Q had already been raised a few times.
Or... visit with deep pockets and buy as many as you want for $4/pair!
I have bought a 2nd pair recently myself.
