What Should a Healthy Gouldian Beak Look Like?

How much "scale" should a normal beak have? I've been having an issue with persistent scaly mite of the beak for a couple of my gouldians, which I have a suspicion is due to one of the items I use in my cage. (since removed)

Anyway, the scaly face has now made me super paranoid about all of their beaks, and I feel like they all look "wrong". How much natural scale is healthy for a gouldian to have? Does anyone have any pictures of their goulds/beaks?

There really should not be any scaleyness

Thank you, debbie276...looks like I do have myself a problem.

I had assumed of course that if 2 were having a problem, the others had it as well...

However I have a pair of gouldians at another location w/no exposure to these guys, and the female has a slight bit of scale at the top.
