Well now that I have a double fight cage empty I would like to put my two female zebras in it.The cage is over 5ft long and 21"wide,should I leave well enough alone or could I put two more girls in with them.I do not want any breeding and I know there will be eggs anyway, but I will not put nest in and with the advice I received about cutting back on fresh food and eggs there have been no eggs with the two I have.I know there are a lot of horror stories on these little ones but I know there are also a lot of bird lovers that keep them anyway.Any advice would be appreciated.I know if I get them I could put separater in if I had too but would like the four of them to have the length of the whole cage to fly.

Honestly, you could fit twelve in a cage that large.

Lol...

You could put your Societies and Zebras in there, with room to spare.

Good luck with whichever birdlings you decide on.

I thought that with zebra finches it was 2 or 6 but not 4 so they wouldn't pair off and fight?

I had 1 female zebra with my society and all was fine in winter but then spring came and she chased all the society and started plucking them.
My favorite bird is the zebra male. I just really like their song and looks and energy but I don't want fighting and plucking.

I would never put zebras in with my gentle society family, would four females zebras get along? does the 2 or 6 or more rule apply when no males all females?
