I mentioned this before in the forum, but now I have a video of what I'm talking about...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EYemnQqQjAQ
That's my yellow faced male. I've had him for a few years and he's got a different song to all the other males. Now, I can understand it's the fact he was probably raised around other birds but have anyone heard of a song that sounds like that?
Sorry about all the background noise... I didn't know if it would work or not so I wasn't getting my hopes up. I hope you can hear it good enough...

I'm not sure what stars are supposed to sound like! I have two males with the softest little songs, and thought that was normal, then got a third (with mate) last spring who has a lovely, clear, musical little song!

lol that's totally understandable, I haven't really had any quiet males except for one of my red faced who is called 'goo'... but this is what my other males sound like...

when you stop and think about it in the wild there has to be differences between birds of the same species otherwise how the hell do they know who their mate is or which nest their young are in.
I suppose it is the same as with humans we are all the same yet different
Addicted to Finches, yes I do admit it.
I pray they never find a cure.
