Hello.

If they don't appreciate egg food, try some hard boiled eggs, or live food, they do need a fount of protein during breeding process.

Rice and supplements are not a good diet for any bird young or old.

They need protein, either through egg food, hard boiled eggs, insects or mealworms.

Had Javas in the past that didn't like boiled chicken eggs but devoured boiled quail eggs. Might be something to try if they are not found of eggfood moisted.

My Java will eat hard boiled egg if it is fixed right. Remove shell from boiled egg. Cut in half. Use a regular kitchen hand stredder and shred some of the egg. Shred some peeled carrot and shave a little brocoli top. Mix all together with some millet seed, and serve in dish. You could also use a food chopper and fine chop some kale. Put in a separate cup.

Java also like cooked corn. You could also get some Quinoa and follow the cooking directions. Cooked vegetables like corn can be mixed with it when feeding them. Quinoa can be sprouted in a day or two. It has to be rinsed well several times a day though.
