Society finch with zebra finch?

Would it be possible to house a single society with zebra? Or would the difference in species prevent them from feeling comfortable with each other? I know zebras are more on the aggressive side... but is there a chance they could get along? Just the two of them?

I feel that it might just depend on your Zebra Finch and it's personality.
You can give it a try and keep an eye on them. Just be sure there isn't a nest as that could cause aggression from you Zebra.

Thank you so much! I will observe their behavior and see if there are any problems.

Yes, Society Finches can be housed with Zebra Finches.
If you have one of each species, they will bond nicely together in most cases.
However, if you have one of each sex, you may end up with hybrid infants

I see!
I thought that having one of each would cause greater problems because they wouldn't have any of their own species, but I guess I was wrong!
... um.. so should I watch for some aggression, like Alley said, or can I expect a happy match? Are there chances that the society will show uncomfortable behavior towards the zebra? (My society doesn't react to zebra chirps.. She's never been housed with a different species before..)
If there's anyone who has experienced this themselves, I would love to hear how it went!

I keep Zebras and Societies together without any major issues.
For quite sometime I'd housed a handicapped (one leg, one wing Zegra male, with a handicapped (half a wing on one side Society female) together, and they got along very well.
