Dear Forum,

I need a collective effort to sex my Parrot finches.

I paid for a true pair of Blue Faced and a true pair of Red Faced but the storekeeper did not seem to sure of his choice.

Do I have two pairs?

The Maltese

I have gone by the song of the male in the Red Throated PF's.
The male does this high pitched trill if seperated from the female, that is unmistakable.

I don't have any Blue Faced PF's, but here is a link to help you...

Graham Lee is probably regarded as one of the very top specialist Parot finch breeders in England and is a national judge and has now just recently been made an international COM judge

I can do Elana but I won't be meeting up with Graham until 8th October in about 3 weeks time which will be up at the UK National, I class Graham as being sort of local to me but he's still probably the best part of 40 odd miles away from me,

Will take me all day to walk it ......lol

As regards to the Parrot finches the red headed I can't really tell as the pics of these aren't particularly great / clear enough,
However the blue faced parrot finches to me both look very much like cock birds

As I said, I'm no expert , but just looking at the site pictures, I would agree with you about the Blue Faces.

If you could get your Graham to weigh in, that would be great

To be truthful if I can remember at the time as its gonna be one hell of a very very busy day I'll ask Graham and see what he thinks
