Holy COW! Zebras are fearless! Video
I tease our zebra owners all the time about what little demons zebra finches are. But I truly had NO idea they have no concept whatsoever of how small they are!!
Clearly this zebra is NOT amused by this hookbills advances (a bird that could rip his head off), and doesn't show any fear at all. I'm rather impressed by this little dude.

Sounds like the innocent looking Addy, who is trying to get her life insurance money out of hubby by hook or by crook.

Babs
That little Zebra has to be brave, or else.
You know it's weird that you came up with this video today Babs. I just came across this ad on kijiji this morning, and found myself thinking that people are not too bright to house these two species together.

I have caged budgies with zebra finches several times.
For some of the nastier zebras, budgies are just about the only cage mates they can get along with... they hold their own.
Most budgies aren't killing machines, the one in the video is being friendly.

lovezebs hmmm... You could take them home... would solve the problem... there is always more room for birds. Besides. Chip and Dale would like friends. And at that price with a cage... Oh so tempting lol

Re: Holy COW! Zebras are fearless! Video
I saw that video a few weeks back when I was researching about zebra.
It looks to me that the budgie is sort of flirting with the zebra.

Yep just goes to show hey Babs how zebras can certainly hold there ground,Babs wrote: I tease our zebra owners all the time about what little demons zebra finches are. But I truly had NO idea they have no concept whatsoever of how small they are!!

this is why it's often mentioned about not putting zebra pairs together in smallish cages because of the territory issues and constant bickering that normally happens

Re: Holy COW! Zebras are fearless! Video
Generally they get along fine, mostly pay no mind to each other. Budgies are large enough to be intimidating, but it has not been my experience the finches ever were afraid. They just didn't pick on them, as they might smaller birds.
We had one budgie which would even ask the finches to preen him (larger English type zebras), and they'd do it! Adorable.
I did have a hen canary once who would go up behind the parakeets and pull out their butt fluffies to add to her nest though!
