PARROT FINCHES
Hi just a question about parrot finches. I have read that if you put a Seagreen X Redbreast all the seagreens will be hens and all the redbreasts will be cocks. What happens if you put RB cock X SG Hen? Does it work in reverse? Regards Mick.
10 Fyfe Canaries (bred a couple) ,2 pair of mosaic canaries, about 20 or so red factor canaries, 8 button quail, 1 fox terrier dogs (Roxi my girl dog died), no mice or rats but holes in the lawn.

Re: PARROT FINCHES
Got it wrong in my original post. Should have been Seagreen COCK X Redbreast HEN their chicks = all seagreen hens and all redbreast cocks. Regards Mick.

Re: PARROT FINCHES
Right. Sex linked, so all hens ought to be sea green and cocks visual reds.
You likely had budgie inos in your past life.
Think of this as a budgie ino cock x normal pairing to make it easier to remember.

Thanks Paul. I specialised in Lutinos. I thought they sounded like sex linked but didn't know if that worked the same in finches. Regards Mick.
