So when I can’t home with a cherry finch x society hybrid I was very shocked by his/hers tweet as it sounds like a cocktiel tweet but not as loud and at first he/she wasn’t using the bed with the society’s or communicating she/he was actually jumping in bed with zebras and getting kicked out it’s like she/he was confused who she/he was.

Anyway she/he eventually joined the society group and has paired with caramel and my white crested but the strange thing is he’s/she’s starting to mimic the society’s sounds to communicate with them and I just found this strange how he’s/she’s changing his tweet to be able to communicate because when he first started to use the same bed as society’s and follow them she/he would tweet really loud calling for the society’s but they ignored his tweet because it’s nothing like there’s but now he can do there calling tweet and they run in to him/her

Anyway she/he getting along fine and he’s now in the breeding cages with two caramel and my white crested so that when these foster some stars or zebras or heck’s then he/she can learn to be a parent as I don’t know if the skill of the society’s fostering has passed over

He’s next to the zebra on the photo

I also can’t sex it because his tweet is different and I keep hearing a singing but then this could just be my other society pied one that’s in the breeding cage above

haroun that’s what I’ve got he’s in a breeding cage with two societys females I was told they think he was a boy because of the way he acts but they haven’t quite heard him sing and since I had him a month or so he does act like a boy but doesn’t sing so I’ve just put him with my females to foster other eggs

If s/he is inside with the females and there are no other birds in the room you could try playing a video of a soceity or cherry finch singing?

Flight Feathers yeh I’ve done videos and stuff but he’s so shy of people like petrified but I have heard strange noises but am unsure if it’s singing because of his such weird tweet it’s not like another finches tweet it’s really strange so I can’t make out what’s a song or a call it’s diffuclt I think I might just wait and see if eggs appear and if not then it must be a female
