So I think my large zebra is lb and I think the male must have fawn in him as the end of his feathers have a brown tint
Anyway the chick is now getting feathers and it looks orange litterally the pin feathers that are coming out are starting out as grey then going bright orange at the end ?????

Black breasted is recessive. Doesn’t matter what colors you pair as long as the parents both carry it (and it’s not always a visual split) I’ve seen black breasted babies from the most common non split looking Zebs. You’d never had guessed they could have bb babies but they did. I’m not saying they are bb tho but there is definitley a chance.

Okay thanks, hard to say at this stage. It looks like a black cheek split tho going by the thick tear marks. Are either of it’s parents visually black cheek or black cheek split?
