Oh okay that sounds good then! I’ll definitely try that. I’ve got plenty of cages so it should work.Fraza wrote: Flight Feathers to Make them have a nest each you will have to
Leave one pair in there to start a clutch and when the clutch has hatched and they are tearing the chicks then let the other pair in this way they won’t let them in the nest and the other pair should go into the other nest this is what I do

Re: Getting Bengalese Finches
Yeah although I would like to get a different color bengalese too so not sure at this stage. And an unrelated one would be better because they might rematch up. (Do they do that?) I know that Zebs can be very disloyal to their mates. (Although not always)Fraza wrote: And yeah that’s an even better idea just keep a female girl and put it with r other male

Re: Getting Bengalese Finches
Very nice Bengalese, fawns - and cresteds - are my favorites.
They do great in almost any number, and will usually breed well in trios.
In my experience they are loyal to their partners and not likely to re-pair, extra males in a trio may if new females could around, but females are happy to share one male.
You cannot get selfs from pieds though, the pied genes are virtually impossible to get rid of once present; the best you may get is a mostly solid bird with a few white chin feathers or wingtips, but it's not a self, just a single factor pied with little white.

Re: Getting Bengalese Finches
Thank you! I’ve been pretty excited about getting them and I still find it hard to believe that I really have bengalese after months of hunting for them. I’m getting some more at the end of the year tooharoun wrote:Congrats man, very nice society bird u got there, u will see on live all thing that u have been told about them, really amazing birds, very nice songs, love to procreate and to rise any chick,....Flight Feathers wrote: And these are my new bengalese finches!! That’s good that they are loyal to their mates and will be fine in whatever number of them I decide to have.
Yes because the pied gene is dominant you cannot get a self if one of the parents is pied. I’m not too worried about getting selfs at the moment tho. I think the pied birds are just beautiful - such a lovely colouring.

Yeah Pieds are really cute! I’d like to breed selfs tho but at the moment I’m happy with any color! I’m hopefully getting some more bengalese near the end of the year.Fraza wrote: Flight Feathers oh yeah your right I have a pied one and she amzing she’s all brown with two white marks abover her eyes , a full white belly and then one white feather at either end of her wings she’s lovely
