So I have a hybrid societ x silverbill someone gave me and oh my god !!! It latches onto my other finches and holds onto there feathers and drags them across the floor and slings them !! Literally no word of a lie it’s evil I can’t believe a bird (especially a finch can do this )

You have a photo of it? It could be possible they mis-identified it and it has the blood of a more aggressive species. Both societies and silverbills are supposed to be calm... But I have heard of a crazy society or two, so who knows.

It sounds more like a Zebra! Guess that's why they gave it away.

That little feathered devil needs to be put in Finch Time-Out! We've all seen chasing and plucking but 'drag across the floor & sling'?! Good Grief!!!!!

It is defiantly a silver bill and society one because I’ve been at the aviary who I bought them off and it’s only got zebras society’s and silver bills and it defeitly isn’t a zebra I’ve ended up giving it a friend who only had one society and it’s ended up pairing with that apparently

But yeah it is so strange I’ve never had one like that it was so agrresive the way it latched on like an agreesive dog, lol never again

It’s funny now thinking of it but at the time I was shocked even the zebras backed off

Yeah, that is odd. Maybe it had to learn to be pushy since it was the odd one out.

Icearstorm yeah well if you watch silverbills when they are nesting they are really agreesive to anything that comes close to there nest so I think that part of the nature taken over it
