Lady Gouldians in with Zebras?

Post by mattz » Tue Nov 25, 2008 1:18 am

Hi,

I am looking to adopt a group of seven Zebras from a rescue. However, I do lile the looks of the LGs.

Is it just a plain bad idea if I put a pair of LGs in with a group of Zs?

Cage is the Hq double flight, 64 (l) x 21 (d) x 62 (h).

If you want the LGs to do well. I would not put them in with Zebs. They are just to competitive. And will dominate everything in the avairy.

I agree.... I would NEVER put gouldians in with zebras. The stress would be too much for them.

I had a pair of zebras in a aviary and they all got along but i think to be on the safe side, dont mix them in that size cage and zebras are pushy and might injure your goulds

Thanks, there seems to be a clear opinion here, very helpful.

I can see how it would be possible to wind up with several cages around the house.

Maybe I'll start a poll "how many cages do you have?"

Thanks for all the responses.
