They are about the same size as a gold breasted.

I have a pair of Swees and a pair of Goldbreasts in the same cage, so I can compare very easily. They are very close in size, but the Swees have a more round body shape, while the Goldbreasts are much more streamlined. Maybe my Swees are overweight!

Overweight? I figured the little guys metabolisms were so fast that that was a physcial imposability with finches? (sorry about my spelling, I'm not very good at that...)

All birds have very fast metabolisms, but when they are confined to a cage, as mine are, they just can't get the exercise they need. My Red-headed Parrot finches are very fat! And I have been told that fat birds produce infertile eggs....hmmm, wonder why?
