Hello

I just received a pair of orange weavers for my aviary from my sweet hubby. However, I just read that they tend to be a bit aggressive and as far as size, they are larger than my current finches.

Currently I have zebras, societies, spice and bronze wings in the aviary.

Should I keep them in their own cage?

I don't have any personal experience with these birds, but have read the same articles as you have. I wouldn't mix them in with the birds you mentioned. I believe most people who keep them, house them separately.

I have never kept weavers either but I have also read in many places that they are aggressive.

I dunno if there are differences between the different types of Weavers when it comes to behaviour.
Have have Black-winged red Bishop weavers and according to the breeder they are ok with other finches as long as they have a lot of space and none of the other finches are similar in colour to the weaver.

I've had a pair mixed with pintailed whydahs, green singers and dybowski waxbills. They did great. They are a bit aggressive, but although I haven't kept the species you mention, I guess they will do fine together, if they have some space for their own.
Breeding these birds is very difficult, so I wouldn't bother about their aggressive behaviour while breeding. The cock built nice nests, though.
