I have a fairly large cage with 2 Owl cocks, a pair of Gouldians and 1 Star cock. Think it would be okay to introduce an Owl hen without any problems? Owls seem so laid back and submissive, I can't imagine them fighting.

I think it would depend on the owls. I would never introduce another owl into my aviary because my male owl is a stinker when there are eggs in his nest. He isn't very nice to the other birds.

Might want to be careful. The owls and stars will cross breed and present you with a nest of "Stowls". The young are attractive

however, will only be pretty little birds that you will be unable to use. I make every attempt to keep from cross breeding species.

Hmmm, this morning I noticed the normal Owl cock chasing the other odd "marble" marked Owl cock around the cage so I removed him and left the normal cock and hen in the large cage. The cock is building a nest now.

Yes, I agree that crossbreeding is not preferred. If you don't end up with 'Stowls' you could end up with 'Owlars'

I agree. I'm against hybrids myself, but I can't imagine the Owl hen rejecting her own species in favor of a Star. The Star isn't interested in her, but I'll heed the warnings and keep an eye on them.
