Post by northernflirt » Fri Feb 23, 2007 4:43 pm

Hi...

I'm having some difficulties sexing my societies and it seems both the male and females make some kind of sqeak of 'song'. Can anyone recommend a site that would allow me to HEAR what a male and female is SUPPOSED to sound like???????

Kenny....

Sorry, call me stupid but i've been to this site now at least a half dozen times and they have a written explaination of what the sound should be but I can find anything to listen to which is what I'm looking for.

Here's another site - the song is really short, but might give you an idea. Both male and female chirp, but you'll hear a clearly defined song from the males as well - no mistaking it once you hear it. Good luck!
