Just curious in your opinion what species of finch has the best song.
Also if you have sounds or videos of that species of finch singing post away.

Without a question... the strawberry.
My male Jameson Fire Finch comes in second at my house.

I don't own any strawberries (maybe I should

) so when it comes to what I do have in my aviary I would pick the gouldian for his sweet soft song.

Since I don't own Strawberries and I do own Gold Breast, I am going to say Gold Breast. Their song is soft and sweet.

The Gray Singing finch has a fabulous song, very canary-like, without the rolls. It is quite loud, I can hear mine all over the house (but I live in a very small house)! So funny, such a plain, mousy little bird, then belts out this aria! I need to try to capture his song, just don't know quite how to do it and post it.

I don't have Strawberries. In my aviary it definitely is the European Goldfinch. He has a beautiful song, especially in spring/early summer.

I do own a male Green Singing Finch and his song is really nice. It quite loud too. I can hear it even if the door in the bird room is closed. I have a recording of the male's song on my website

Very nice website and pics Ikhcom. I love the way your green singers nest is decorated. What type of plant is that? Do you have a pic of the full cage?

I listened to a strawberry finch singing on youtube, very beautiful song indeed. I actually haven't seen strawberry finches in person before.
I've seen plenty of green singers, and fire finches, but I've never heard them sing before.
