Very happy for you. Really find your enthusiasm refreshing. It's folks like you that keep everything exciting for the rest of us. You help transport us back to the time when we first were "bitten by the finch bug". Make sure you post pics for us.

You have every right to get excited over zebra finches. Zebra finches are one of the most beautiful of all the finches. This fact is over looked because they are also the most common. I have approximately 75+ zebras and I love every single one of them.

I have two of John's zebras, they are so sweet. I was telling him today that they are one of the neater finches, they do not scatter their food, their cage is one of the cleaniest. I can be right near the cage and they don't fly away.

I forgot about the color and detail to their feathering ~ that was until John sent the pair to me. They are beautiful. They are one of my favorite pairs of finches.

Well, good luck, best wishes and "HOORAY!" you are getting zebras. =D> =D> =D>

Thanks everyone! :D Well they didn't have anymore males so I go the last CFW female. I will be going to pick up a male for her tomorrow or Friday at a local bird store that has over 20 for sale! Oh and I purchased her from Petsmart, she was the only CFW out of fawns, grays, and I believe one light back female. She is alseep right now in the canary nest! Will post pics once I get a male for her! :D

Wasn't going to say anything, but it's probably a good thing you're getting your birds from two different stores. Most places have no qualms about selling males and females as couples even though they know full well that the birds are related. By getting the birds from two different stores, the less chance you have of getting little "redneck" baby finches.

 Well then there ya go! :D She is really pretty, a little puny but I will have that fixed in no time! :D My favorite zebra colors are Fawn, CFW, Lightback, Penguin, Pied, and Black Cheeks and on occasion a tight feathered, well colored gray male is very appealing! :D

I like the pied, but I love the traditional gray. The colors are so striking and vibrant in the males. :D
Are you going to name her?

I bougth a cfw over 10 years ago from a guy who shows his birds. The little guy is still active and pretty. I mean really pretty. He is very round as some of the show zebras are and has the most beautiful, pale cfw markings. His cheeks are peach, he has a red beak and white body. He's been a great little pet and an amusing addition to aviary. I will be really sorry when he goes. He brings a lot of life to my home.

So you have every reason to be excited about your zebras!

Congratulations on your Zebs. I love mine, they are a lot of fun to watch, always busy. They are great company when I work here in my home office, when I go to my office in the city it is too quiet.
