They are stunning! If you lived closer Candace I would only ever buy Gouldians from you, they are always so healthy and colorful.

Thanks.... I have been so very lucky and blessed with these gouldians.
I have a couple that will be visiting the area for vacationing(swimming with the dolphins :D) at the end of March. They are from Missouri and have been in contact about my blues. They will be buying some to take on the way back home. That is exciting... they will introduce my blues and /bluesto thier green lines and breed blues for themselves :D

I have 2 new clutches with some blues in them. One clutch of 5 just fledged this morning...well 4 did, 1 has gone back to the nest. I think I scared it. The others are just hatched...4 of them :D

My very first blue was abandoned and I hand fed her. She was named True Blue...Trudy for short because she stayed fairly tame and would come to sit on the perch as close to me as possible and chirp at me. She wouldn't let me pick her up anymore but she still seemed to like my company. I paired her up wednesday 2 weeks ago with a beautiful silver male and they had 4 eggs as of yesterday...probably 5 now as I did not check the nest this morning.
They were so receptive to each other...I have never seen a new pair bond and nest this quickly before. I sure hope they will be good first time parents :D A new blue generation :D

Good luck, Candace. I can't wait to see the offspring. Those are two beautiful, delicate colors together.

My hen, Trudy is from parents that were both normals /blue and the cock is a single factor silver...don't know his background. Trudy is a large hen and I am hoping to get some large offsprings. Some say don't breed 2 blues (silvers) together, yet some blue gouldian breeders say that if they are strong and not related there is no problems. Someone told me that they saw offsprings that came from a silver paired with a blue and they were super large chicks. So we will see. Here are the happy couple
