If you don't see any green in him (I don't from this angle) and you do see grey - it's most likely a blue - yep yep yep!

Here is another picture with Mom and Dad...
So if he is a blue what does that mean? Are his none blue sibling blue carriers too? Does both Mom and Dad have to carry the gene?
Thanks guys, I'm so excited!!!!

If both parents are visually normals it means genetically they are both Normal/Blue.
But are you colony breeding?
As far as the siblings go - if you are 100% positive all siblings belong to the exact same parents (sorry, I don't trust colony breeding at all), then that would mean the siblings have a 66% chance of being /Blue but you won't know until you test breed them.

Congrats on your blue

That is how I got my first one...from what I thought was 2 normal green goulds...evidently they were both split for blue

I love surprizes... congrats...what a healthy looking chick also

Thanks so much everyone. I'm so so excited, he/she is for sure a keeper.
I only have 2 very bonded pairs of lady gouldians in my aviary. One of the pairs comes from a breeder who only breeds normals and no mutations so I'm sure this chick did not have a different daddy that got in on the action. But I guess you can never be sure. Assuming the other siblings are from the same parents too then are they carriers of the blue gene too?
I hope to get more blues in the future.

Assuming they are from the same parents they have a 66% chance of being /Blue or carriers of the blue gene. It is not guaranteed.

Also-Here is the first clutch of the season from the same parents that produced this blue baby. Do you think I have any blues or are they too old to tell?
