Bought all of these and a few more at the UKs biggest bird show, stafford.
Got a few near masked grass finches too, those are hard to find, I have 15 of them ready to go into the new 13 * 6 * 6 (foot) aviary I am having built. I hope to establish a fairly large colony of them.

I saw a nesting box on one of the BCCB cages, and if you want them to breed in a cage you need to put lots of greenery in there (fakes vines, ivy, etc) in order for them to feel secure. MOST BC wont even think about going to nest in a open cage like that because they don't feel protected. Just some friendly advice.
Also, I think most here and I may be wrong got there BCCB to nest in a large wicker basket, no a plastic nestbox.
Nice birds!

I agree with Brant here on the nestboxes. I love that particular plastic nestbox, but not all my birds will use it, especially since it is designed to hang on the outside of the cage. You could try partially filling it with coco fiber, with strands hanging out the front opening to entice them in. Also put lots of fake greenery around and on top of the nestbox, almost hiding all the plastic.
My CBs tend to use the large hooded wicker nests, which I hate but they like. Often the males stand guard on top of the nest, as well, which they can't do with the outside nestbox.
Congrats on all the new birds!

Great new birds, all perfect in feather. A masked grassfinch colony sounds awesome, I would love to see pics of that.
