So does anybody know the name of that mutation of java? is it popular? should I bring it home?..I will appreciate if someone answer me soon, im about to head home now..

Hoang, I can't find anything on a frilled Java. So if this is what it is I personally would buy it. It has to be rare if no info can be found on it.

these are frilled java for a friend of me.
the mutation is rare and not well known
we dont know till now if it is recessive or dominant

some said that it is recessive like the frilled mutation in zebras
and some said that it is dominant like the frilled mutation in societies

we wont be sure until we breed them

This is in reply to "Java Finch with Twisted Feathers" - I accidentally posted it as a new post

Java Sparrows rarely have unusual plumage like that (or crests) so you might be on to a new mutation, if you can breed it. Of course, it could also be the result of some environmental condition the bird went through, that will disappear after the first moult.

it could also be a result of a virus..http://www.cockatiels.org/ownersandenth ... _virus.htm

Ron and Cindy - I moved / merged your posts to this thread as Ron indicated they should be in response to this thread.

Hope it helps!

My pleasure, Cindy.

Does anyone know how I (as Moderator) can edit the size of a photo once it's posted to make it a smaller size - to fit the screen without having to scroll over a field or two? =D>

Do you have the ability to go into the post, copy and save the original picture, edit the picture down to the right size, delete the original and replace it with the correct size. Or if it can be deleted by the original poster...I can resize it and try to pm it to the poster

I resized it for you, click and save the picture and replace the large one with this one...I cropped it to.
