I need to perfect the recording in the future...sorry for the background noise, the banging sound is one of the dogs dropping her Nyla bone on the wood floor. She finds it amusing to drop it and slide it around the floor. You also hear the birds 2 rooms away chirping and Lucy lovebird adds her 2 cents worth also!

I plan on trying this again, placing the camera on the other side of the room so not to record as much of the background noise that you hear.

Thanks Janine and Liz, he usually sings for a longer time. The video camera I was having has a remote. My husband got it in sinc with the camera so now I can set it up and instead of going into the room to turn it on I can use the remote to do so instead of my maually turning the camera on. This interrupted his song.

I'll try to get one of his longer song sessions for you, he seems to go on and on.

I did notice this morning that there is a certain chirping sound he makes that Lucy (lovebird) answers to. the GS would start, Lucy answers and the GS responds, this went on for a little bit until Lucy got distracted with something else.

The times he sings the longest are usually at 11:30am and 6:30pm (our dinner time!) and a little throughout the afternoon.

I am very glad to have given them the larger flight, they use every bit of it, swiftly flying about.

That was great, thanks for sharing! Are they the larger kind of green singer or the smaller kind? They looked pretty big in comparison to the cage.

Also, I couldn't tell from the video, does the female sing too?

Domenic I don't know if she sings, they are in the very front room. I try not to disturb them to much even though they are calmer than when they first came home. I plan on finding a very quiet day next wee, placing the camera in a way that will show the birds off and we can see who is singing what. I did notice, he mostly sings while she is down eating. He perches up high and sings, he usually stops when she comes to his perch.

I'm not sure if they are the large or small...they are about the same size as those in PetSmart.

Yes I noticed this also in mine. He will only sing when other birds are not in sight.

If they are the same size as those in Petsmart then they must be the smaller kind like mine. The largest ones I've seen were like the size of a canary almost. They could have been hybrids though.

I'll have to look at some of the shows to see if I can find the larger size. I love these guys, I look forward to the songs at dinner!!
