I had only 2 blue boys and 7 hens.

With Gouldians, do you want more boys or more hens? Boys are more colorful, but you need hens for babies.

Sally, the males are more colorful but I get more request for hens of all colors. Seems many people have a shortage of hens. In my other colors I either have close to the same or a few more males...but with the blues I get hens. I am sure it is because of a sexed link trait (all have come from /blues) but I don't fully inderstand the sex linked thing.

That certainly is a good thing when concerning blues

I produced more blue males last year and more blue hens this year - and the biggest most gorgeous one is a male. All the females have been average.

Oh how I wish you lived closer. I have 3 normals slipt for blues that need girlfriends.
