Which finch is on your wish list?

Post by Anneka » Sun Jun 03, 2007 11:31 pm

Let's talk about our dreams...
Which finch would you like to adopt next? Which one is your dream finch?

I really want one Gouldian and one shaft-tail.

I would love a pair of chestnut-bellied seedeaters (they are so CUTE and the colors are lovely) as well as another pair of gold breast waxbills!

well, my wishlist is kinda complicated.

Under the part of "when I have more time and Space(and money)" are Straw-tailed, Pin-tailed and Paradise Whydahs.

Under my "get them as soon as the chance comes" wishlist are Diamond Firetails, European goldfinches and Star Finch.

and my "completely unplanned birds I want" wishlist has 2 Society finches on it cause I'll saw them 2 days ago at the pet store and there is one crested one and it looks soooooo cute I just have to have it(and of course I'll get it a buddy too). So today I hope they are still there so I can get them......... and I told myself I don't want those finches everyone has(like Societies and Zebras).....

I am so bad at self control.....

When I get back into finches I'd love to get owls, goulds and maybe some shaft-tails or goldfinches or something like that. I really like the owls though :)

Hm...I think I'd still want more gouldians. :) Some bluebacks, maybe, and a normal redhead PB. I actually know of a guy who's selling his RH PB BB hen for $95. I think that's a pretty good deal? I'm gonna ask him to send some pictures. His normals are only $45!

Wow, $45 only?! I wish there was such a breeder here in Buffalo area.

LOL, Sally, your wish list is pretty long already. :)
I have to do some online searches to find out the ones you want. I am not familiar with most of the names you mentioned. I am rather new to finches.

Revenlock,
I have noticed that you have some conures on your wish list.
Do you realize how LOUD they are? :)

Will you try to buy handfed baby parrots?

I used to work in a pet store a long time ago. Feeding them was a breeze and they would attach to you so quickly. It was always difficult to see one go.

Thalia,
our wish list is very similar.
Golds, shaft-tails and I forgot about the owls. They are all so cute.

KNG5 -

A blue back hen for $95? That's a STEAL! I'll bet it's not a Virginia breeder! Going rate here is $250.

I know! The thing is, I saw a breeder with the same first name from the same location on a website talking about a blueback gouldian hen with some sort of growth above her eye and feather loss...and it's the only blueback he has. So I'm kinda worried about that. Hopefully its just a coincidence. He's supposed to send some pics tomorrow.

Hmmm. Unless you feel like a project, I'd be careful of that one!
