Question

Post by Leo519 » Wed Mar 18, 2015 1:34 pm

Tossing this out to all of you helpful and knowledgeable forum members:
I am curious to know what is a "callow courter" ???

I often see it in the Ranking scale for members when they make a post.
I did a Google search and could not find any info on it.

Every level is some type of bird I've noticed. Male's court with their song, and callow: immature, or inexperienced (of a bird) featherless, unfledged and to court is to try to win the affections of, woo. Which Male's try to "court" females with their song... and dance. So in the forum, in the beginning you are callow, cuz you are new and to associate it with a bird terminology.... that's my guess...

Ellen nailed it!

Callow = young, immature, new
Courter = flirty bird who's ready to mate.

Your forum rank is dependent upon how many posts you've published.
As you'll see, I'm moulting. :)
