Was hoping someone could lead us in the right direction. We are new to finches and are trying to get in touch with an Illinois breeder we met a few years back. I believe his name was Steve Hopman - he bred a variety of finches and also made wooden cages. We been pretty unhappy with the quality of birds we've seen in stores and at the local bird shows...I remember Steve having gorgeous and healthy birds and am hoping he's still around. I've been googling all morning and haven't had any luck
