Hello, I have one pair of Zebra finches, they have been here for about a couple of months, eventually, the female has laid down one egg in the nest (I've put for them kind of cloth hairy things whatever they are called) and the male started to build the nest and put the hair into the nest, at Saturday I saw that the female has laid down one egg, however, I know that she is supposed to lay on the egg and keep it warm and the male is supposed to feed the female, but the female doesn't lay. Untill today she still hasn't laid any eggs except the first one.
Is there anything I can do ?

Keep giving them good food, nesting material, and privacy. They'll take care of the rest.
Also, the female usually won't start laying until she's got a few eggs in the nest. (They usually lay about one per day.)

Samir
Hi Samir, and welcome to the Forum.
As mentioned above, Zebra finches will lay one egg a day, until they are done laying their clutch.
Once the female is done laying, both parents will take turns sitting on the eggs, and also sit on them together.
They will take turns leaving the nest, to eat, take a bath and so on.
Offer good finch seeds, hard boiled eggs, and vegetables to the parents, and wait patiently
.
Good luck, and feel free to ask any more questions that you have. There are lots of people on this Forum that have and raise Zebra Finches.

When I put for them hard boild eggs the female eats it right away but I haven't noticed the male eat from the egg.
