Post by Lee123 » Tue Aug 18, 2015 9:43 am

I'm new to the forum and breeding goldfinches just starting to put some breeding stock together for next season I bought a pair of gf's but sadly lost the hen but here is a couple pictures of my goldfinch cock and goldfinch mule the mules not much to look at but he's finch noted and sings well and he's fairly tame to I can sit him on my finger in the cage while he eats bits of greens.

Welcome to the Forum.
Sorry to hear about your hen.
Hopefully you'll be able to find another girl for your boy, and still have a good breeding season.

Good luck

They're both pretty birds. When I saw the topic "my goldfinch and mule", I was expecting to see a four legged critter! Boy, have I got a lot to learn!

Welcome to the forum! There's lots of good reading at www.finchinfo.com, though we don't have a lot of information on Goldfinches there. We do have some members who have lots of experience with them, though. If you put your general location in your profile, it makes it easier to answer locale-specific questions later on.

Thanks for all the nice comments and help I've never been part of a forum before so still learning to use the site took me a while to figure out how to put these pics up haha. I'm located in London it's not the easiest part of the UK to get goldfinches for the right price or for healthy birds tbh obviously they need to be closed rung as well which is another issue their are lot of wild birds for sale and that's not something I wanna be part of. would love to see picks of you're birds jonvill.
