Hi mate,
I should think that a zebra pair should be ok providing that yer cage is of reasonable size

I would watch for aggression from your male zebra. I had a zebra pair in a large single flight with a society pair, and the male spent a lot of time chasing the societies until I had to separate them. There wasn't a nest in the cage at the time either.

Zebras are described as "pushy". That is when they are on their best behavior. Many can be downright aggressive bullies at times.

If you value your Gouldians I'd avoid the zebras unless 'adequate space' is a big walk in aviary with plenty of foliage etc for Gouldians to hide in.

Thanks Paul,Watson & Stuart
In that case i will avoid a zebra finch . Can i opt for a long tail finch or owl finch pair . There is a lot of space and i feel my Gouldians get bored sometime when i am not around most a time ,only two of them .They are very happy to see me though

If there is enough space, the Owl finch pair should be fine. Long-tails can become a bit pushy when in breeding mode.
