Sexing white zebra finch
I'm new to the hobby I was given two white zebra finches and told they were both female, I purchased two males to go with them but one of the whites fights with the males which confused me so I have attached a pic if anyone could give me any clarity on its sex I would appreciate it.
Many thanks

Re: Sexing white zebra finch
this is a male, a mutation he is carrying likely suppressed or removed the cheek color. Hens can have faint ghost flanking (usually a sign of split to OB) and incomplete or smudgy breast bars called show faults,
Males if not the yellow beak mutation will have red beaks when mature
Hen if not the yellow beak mutation will have orange beaks.

Glad that you got some help with sexing your bird, I'm hopeless when it comes to Zebras, but I wanted to welcome you to the forum! If you put your general location in your profile, it makes it easier to answer questions later on.

That is the idea of a diffused cheek patch, it varies from a very faint orange to virtually nothing
